This is the first functioning update of Character Animator 22.5 during this year, and the main change in this release is the appearance of Starter Mode – a new free introducing mode, which allows the insolvent users to create animations.

This mode is available to anyone with an Adobe account record and allows to create animations using a simplified interface and provided samples of puppets, as well as – to export them to H.264 MP4 files.

The users have access to the full Character Animation control panel, however – only to the timeline with a single track. In addition, Starter mode does not include Puppet Market or other tools for creating of puppets. Projects in Starter mode can be converted into paid Pro mode, but not vice versa.

The users of Pro get Auto-swap – a new system for automatically switch to pose in multilayered illustrations, which are highly corresponding with movement of character for more accurate frame-by-frame animation.

Character Animator 22.5 is available for Windows 10 as well as – macOS 10.15 and above. The software is only available by subscription, through Adobe All Apps, the price of which has now raised up to $82.49 per month or $599.88 per year.
